Selangor FC will host Vietnam League 1 (V.League 1) 2024/25 champions, Nam Dinh FC, in the first leg of the ACC Shopee Cup™ semi-final tonight at 9pm.

The team advanced to the semi-finals after finishing second in Group A, recording two wins and three draws from five matches, level on nine points with the inaugural champions, Buriram United FC, only separated by goal difference. Below are the results for the Red Giants in Group A:-

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Kim Pan-gon, the team has prepared well to face Nam Dinh FC and is determined to prove that Malaysian clubs are capable of competing strongly against big countries in Asia.

“Preparations have gone very well. The players are confident, fit, and fully ready for tonight’s match. Right after last week’s game, the team immediately focused on recovery and game planning to go against Nam Dinh FC. This match is certainly important for both the team and the club, and I believe we are fully prepared to face them,” said Kim Pan-gon regarding the team’s readiness.

“We know Nam Dinh are a strong side from Vietnam, and we expect them to attack from various angles. We will aim to get a good result before the second leg, especially at home. At the same time, we want to show that Malaysian clubs are strong enough to compete with teams from Vietnam and other top nations in Asia, while delivering an exciting match for the fans,” he added.
